Brow Tattoo
Including microblading, ombré & combination brows
Thinking about brow tattoo? Let’s break it down…
Brow tattoo is an umbrella term for a few different techniques—like ombré brows, microblading, and combination (shading) brows.
Each one creates a slightly different finish, but they all have the same goal: fuller, more defined brows that still look natural and suit you.
–
Microblading creates soft, hair-like strokes
–
Ombré brows give a more shaded, makeup-style finish
–
Combination brows blend both for the best of both worlds
Not sure which one you need? Don’t stress—that’s what I’m here for. We’ll choose the best option based on your skin, your natural brows, and the look you’re going for.
What to expect at your appointment
We’ll start with a chat about your brow goals (even if you have no idea—that’s totally fine). Then I’ll map and design your brows to suit your face shape and features.
You’ll see the shape first and approve it before we start—so you feel completely comfortable and confident the whole way through.
Does it hurt?
Short answer—no.
We use numbing cream before and during your appointment, so most clients are surprised at how easy it is. I’ll guide you through everything so you feel relaxed from start to finish.
Is brow tattoo right for you?
Perfect for you if:
– You’re over filling in your brows every day
– Your brows are sparse, uneven, or lacking shape
– You want a natural, low-maintenance look
– You love the idea of waking up already looking put together
It might not be for you if:
– You prefer a very bold, heavy makeup brow every day
– You have very oily skin (we can chat about the best option for you)
– You’re not ready for a semi-permanent treatment
– You’re expecting perfect symmetry (we enhance, not completely change)
If you’re unsure, that’s completely normal. We’ll talk everything through and make sure it’s the right fit for you before we begin.
No pressure, no surprises—just honest advice and results you’ll love.
WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER YOUR MICROBLADING APPOINTMENT
What to expect after your brow tattoo
Before you leave, I’ll walk you through everything—what to expect over the next few weeks and exactly how to care for your brows so they heal beautifully.
Right after your appointment, it’s completely normal to have a little redness or slight swelling. Your brows will also look a bit darker at first—don’t panic, this is all part of the process.
As your brows heal over the next 1–2 weeks, the colour will soften and the strokes will settle into a more natural, defined finish.
Good things take a minute… but they’re worth it 😉
If you’ve got an event coming up, it’s always a good idea to plan ahead and allow a little time for the healing process.
And of course, I’m always here if you have any questions along the way—no guessing, no stress.
Microblading Aftercare - What to Expect & to Avoid
Brow Tattoo Aftercare
Taking care of your brows properly = the best healed results 🤍
I’ll talk you through everything at your appointment, but here’s a simple guide to follow at home:
First 48 hours
– Gently dab your brows with a clean cotton pad to remove any fluid
– Apply your aftercare balm (a thin layer is perfect) to keep the area hydrated
– Keep them clean, light, and untouched as much as possible
Things to avoid while healing
For the first
week:
– Excessive sweating or steam (gym, saunas, hot showers)
– Getting cleansers or water directly on your brows
For the first
2 weeks:
– Makeup on the brow area
– Waxing, threading, or touching the area
– Facials, skin treatments, or injectables
For the first
3–4 weeks:
– Swimming or soaking your brows
– Too much sun or heat exposure
– Tinting or dyeing the brow area
A few important things to remember
– Your brows may scab slightly—this is completely normal
– Don’t pick, scratch, or interfere (I know it’s tempting 😅)
– Avoid washing directly over your brows while scabbing is present
– Keep applying your aftercare balm for 1–2 weeks as needed
Your brows will soften and settle as they heal, so trust the process.
And if you’re ever unsure—just reach out. I’m always here to help 🤍
Frequently Asked Questions
Got questions about our eyebrow services? We’ve got answers! Here are some common inquiries we receive from our clients.
What is microblading?
Microblading is a semi-permanent technique that uses a fine blade to deposit pigment into the skin, creating natural-looking hair strokes. It’s perfect for enhancing your brows and achieving a fuller appearance. How long does eyebrow tattooing last?
Eyebrow tattoos can last anywhere from 1 to 3 years, depending on your skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare. Regular touch-ups can help maintain the color and shape. Is the procedure painful?
Most clients report minimal discomfort during the procedure. We use a topical numbing cream to ensure your comfort throughout the process. What is eyebrow lamination?
Eyebrow lamination is a treatment that smooths and sets your brow hairs in place, giving them a polished and fuller look. It’s a great option for unruly or sparse brows. How should I care for my brows after the treatment?
After your treatment, avoid wetting your brows for 24 hours, and refrain from using harsh products. We’ll provide you with detailed aftercare instructions to ensure the best results. What is Ombre Brows
Ombré brows (also known as powder brows) are a type of brow tattoo that creates a soft, shaded effect—similar to the look of lightly filled-in makeup.
Unlike microblading in Adelaide, which uses hair-like strokes, ombré brows use a gentle shading technique to build colour gradually. The front of the brow is kept soft and natural, while the tail is slightly more defined—giving you that smooth, blended finish.
Think soft, polished, and effortlessly put together.
What is Combination Brows
Combination brows are a blend of two techniques—microblading (or nano brows) and soft shading—to create the perfect balance of natural and defined.
You get the best of both worlds:
– Fine, hair-like strokes through the front of the brow
– Soft shading through the body and tail for added depth and fullness
The result? Brows that look natural up close, but still have that polished, fuller finish.
At our Adelaide brow studio, we customise every combination brow tattoo to suit your face shape, natural brow growth, and personal style—so your brows feel effortless, balanced, and completely you.
If you’ve been searching for “eyebrow tattoo near me” or the best brows in Adelaide, combination brows are one of the most popular choices for that soft but defined look.
If you want, I can now create a side-by-side comparison (microblading vs ombré vs combo vs nano)—that’s one of the highest-converting sections for bookings 👀
